VOTING ASSETS

Your student team has made it to the Top 20 of Burns & McDonnell Battle of the Brains; now, it’s time to help get out the vote! Thirty percent of the final selection will be determined by public vote, so that’s a real opportunity to make a difference. Remember, each email address can vote once a day.

HERE ARE A FEW VOTING STRATEGIES:

  1. Post on social media. We’re providing some visual assets linked below to help you spread the word on Facebook and Twitter. Don’t forget to tag us @BurnsMacSTEM, @BurnsMcDonell and use the hashtag #BOTBKC.
  2. Leverage in-school communication. Morning announcements, the school newspaper, the parent newsletter and more — all are great ways to spread the word.
  3. Notify your PTO or PTA. Pass the news to your school’s parent-teacher organization and ask them to encourage people to vote every day during the voting period.
  4. Use your network. Caregivers, relatives and friends know a lot of people, don’t they? Encourage them to spread the word every way they can.
  5. Ask often. To boost your votes, ask everyone you know every day during the voting period. Voting once is great, but voting once every 24 hours is even better.
